Hi guys, here’s a short documentary on Randy’s Records Store.
One of the Originals…
If you haven’t heard of Randy’s before, its worth looking into, there’s a lot of Raggae History through Randy’s.
You may not have heard of The Simpkin Project as of yet being there fairly new to the scene, but as far as talent and there experience in raggae from youth in Southern California these guys really drop it!
One of the tightest, clean new groups I’ve had the pleasure to see here in Southern California.
This is a cool little video I found of some highlights of a show they did at Gallagher’s in Huntington beach California. The song continues under the entire video. Whomever did this video did a good job! Props!
More on The Simpkin Project:
Good Interview with Phil Simpkin of The Simpkin Project, There’s also a pretty funny itnerview of The Dirty Heads at the end of the video as well, its worth taking a look.
eeka being eeka, like always…
Certian songs just have a that sound, you know what I mean when you listen to “Police in Helicopter”
“were gonna burn down the cane fields”
This is some kinky ass raggae! Rudeboy Skankin!
I caught there last show here in Long Beach California at Vault 360. These guys get down! Still! If you have not had the opportunity to check them out I highly recommend it. I’ll make sure to post some event listings on them soon.

One of my all time favorite video’s!
Besides being a fine vocal trio, the Gladiators were also a self-contained band (if you add a drummer and keyboard player). Their song writing capabilities made them ideal for addressing the rock audience, as it had been done with Bob.
I came across these 2 videos and thought they worked pretty well together.

Jimmy Cliff – Give a little take a little 1967 Jimmy Cliff OM (born James Chambers, 1 April 1948, St Catherine, Jamaica) kinda interesting (the beatles poster up on the wall in the background)
